My Bio
I got into drawing at a young age, but most of them were nothing more than doodles of stick figures. One day, when I was 12 years old, I got heavily influenced by an anime called 'Sora', and, as you can probably guess (if you don't know, sora = sky in Japanese), I got obsessed with the sky. I eventually pleaded with my parents to get me a camera so that I could take pictures of the sky, which I did. A lot. Eventually, after about a couple of months of taking pictures of the sky, I considered the sky a huge piece of art that likes to paint beautiful scenery to please everyone, not just me (I know this sounds crazy, but remember, I was only 12 years old lol). That's when I decided that I would start to draw. For real. Like, no stick figures or 10 second doodles. I really wanted to get good at drawing, so I put my everything into learning how to draw. I originally started off drawing skies and thought that I would stick with it, but, not surprisingly, my love for anime eventually influenced my style, and I moved onto drawing anime characters. After about a year or so of practicing drawing, I got bored of it. Er, to be more precise, I hit a wall and eventually I gave up because it felt so boring to draw the same things over and over again without any form of improvement, so I went back into doodling stick figures or just playing games all day or watching anime. My skills became rusty, and my passion withered away. That is, until about a year go, when I decided to seriously get back into drawing. What re-triggered my love for art was Pixiv/Tumblr/Instagram - all the awesome drawings I would come across re-kindled my love for art and reminded me that I could've gotten to the level of the artists I look up to had I not stopped when I did. So, while thinking "better late than never," I picked up my pencil and started drawing again. Eventually, I was able to save up enough money to get myself a tablet and start digital art. That's where DeviantArt comes in. Hi guys, I'm Takkuon. Sorry for the long and boring intro, but I thought that I'd give you guys a short story about how I became an artist (or, rather, came back as an artist) and how it ended up becoming one of my biggest hobbies. I'm still new to all of this, but I hope that you all enjoy my art! Thanks for visiting my page ^^
